CUT FLOWER SEED - COMING SOON
Mill Pond Flower Farm is closing at the end of this season, so we thought we’d spread ourselves about a bit before it’s all over. Obviously, we’re talking about seed! We’ve spent the last 13 years growing plants that perform well as cut flowers, selecting our own favourites and testing them out. Now we’d like to share some of them with you all.
To make it all significantly better, we’ve partnered up with our pals Rebecca, Antony and the Junior Section at Silver Grey Foliage in Leeds to increase the number of varieties and give some extra options.
Have a look at what we’ve got listed and see if you fancy giving some seeds a go.
Some Important Information
Unfortunately we aren’t able to send seed overseas or to Northern Ireland (really sorry!). We can only post seed to England, Scotland and Wales.
Our seeds are fresh, open pollinated and hand processed.
What does this mean?
Fresh - the seed has been collected within the past few months. This gives you the very best chance at germination, particularly for seeds that can be tricky to get going.
Open Pollinated - grown in the open, naturally pollinated by insects and wind. This means that the new seed grown plant might vary slightly from the parent plant. It’s all a bit of a surprise.
Hand Processed - the seed is sorted and cleaned by hand. We don’t have any nifty machines to help, so it might have some chaffy bits, but the packets are extra generous to compensate.
