The pincushion flower, or scabious. This is officially an annual, so you can sow it in the spring and it will flower late in the summer. Here in southern Scotland it flowers very much later in the summer, in fact usually in the autumn, so I sow it in the last week of August and plant out in the tunnel where it blooms from late May onwards and keeps on going till October.
This seed mix is from a few years of selecting the pale pastels - white, cream, pale pink, peach.
