Tree Lupin (Lupinus aboreus)

£3.50

As a lupin lover, it took me longer than it should have to find tree lupins. They’re totally amazing! They grow like a shrub but have lots and lots of sweetly scented lupin flowers. The stems are solid, unlike perennial lupins, and they don’t die down in the winter. The available information suggests they aren’t fully hardy but I’ve had plants for the past 2 winters (down to -12C). The colours are likely to be soft yellow with a peach blush, but could also be a surprise! The foliage is fantastic in early spring and autumn too.

Sow the seeds either in early autumn or early spring. Protect from slugs and plant out in a sheltered spot.

Height up to 2m

Spread 1m

Quantity 2g/ approx 40 seeds
